Preparing for Two Under Two

If you've been following along you know we will soon be welcoming baby number two to our family (another BOY) and I couldnt be more excited. Trust me, I'm also terrified and have done a fair amount of Googling with questions like "tips on managing two under two", "challenges of two under two" and "how to survive two under two?". A fair number of scarrymommy articles appear along with a number of other reads reminding me of how difficult this next phase of life and motherhood will be. I'm realistic, a bit naive since I dont know what to expect, but also optimistic.

I realize life will be HARD at times and this is not lost on me. While I truly can't fully prepare myself for what our new normal will be, I'm trying hard to be as prepared as I can {you can read all about what I consider to be the essentials here, the nursery redesign and my favorites for a gender neutral nursery}, I'm only focusing on what I can control and also trying to remind myself to enjoy these final weeks as a family of three. The first 16 months of my little guy being here has flown by and soon he will be a big brother which is so crazy to me. All the emotions of going from one to two are starting to hit me, but I truly can't wait to capture that first picture of MY BOYS together and watching their relationship grow and develop over time.

If you have any advice, tips or general feedback on the transition from one to two (which I've hard is tough), please share.
