Nursery Update
I'm busy prepping for baby number two {I've shared all my baby essentials here}, which includes creating a space that can accommodate two little boys and updating the current gender neutral nursery. Since they will be sharing a room at some point in the coming months, there are some changes that we need to make in terms of how we are utilizing the space. With much of the room staying the same {paint color, lamps, and most of the big furniture pieces like the crib, dresser/changing table}, there are a few key pieces and necessary updates required in order to make the best use of the space.
First, we need to swap out a queen size bed for a daybed to allow for some extra play space. We also want the option to still be able to accommodate a guest or two if needed. The side tables will be replaced that will sit on each side of the daybed with something a little more sturdy and with some extra storage space. This will also create more space for my very active 15-month to play. I've also loved the layered rug look, so I will likely be adding a rug, more artwork {larger scale prints similar to the below} bedding, pillows and a few pieces to tie the room together. I'm in the early stages of mapping out exactly how I want to update the room, but wanted to share a little sneak peak into the "Before".
I still have some final decisions to make and will share more about how I approach the design and decorating process along with some of my favorite sources in an upcoming post. Do you have any interest in seeing the "After" pictures?
