Apple Picking Adventure
It's Friday, we made it! As much as I love summer, I'm starting to love Fall. I think it's because I get to swap out my closet, transition to cozy sweaters and it's a busy time of the year with so many fun activities and things to do with kiddos.
Last weekend we FINALLY went apple picking. I know, we are probably the last family in MA that made the trip to Lookout Farm. Honestly, I had no idea we would have so much fun. Our little guy absolutely loved it. He ate more apples in two hours then he has eaten in his entire life, he was able to see a real life "Baa Baa", ride on train and have pizza for lunch. It was as if we lived out all his dreams in one afternoon.
It was one of those days where the stars aligned on timing (note we are usually AWFUL at getting out of the house on the weekends). Usually we sit around talking about what we will do, or googling activities to take the boys to and by the time we make a decision, change a million diapers, and cycle through what feels like 5 meals between two kids it is time for somebody to take a nap. I'm not a super planner when it comes to the weekend and kids, because generally we are so spent from a week of being on the go. However, it was nice to have a few options and take a more casual approach to committing to getting out for family activity. How do you approach the weekends and what does a typical weekend look like for you?
Right now we don't have anything planned for this weekend, but thinking about starting a new series geared at how we spend our time on the weekends - note, most weekends are pretty quiet, but now that we have a very curious toddler, I need to start thinking of ways to entertain him on the weekend.
