How to Style a Bookshelf
We have a built-in bookshelf at the end of the hallway that needed some TLC and instead of committing to any major changes, or paint, I decided to add a little pop of print to the back of the bookcase with removable wall paper. I ordered a few samples from Walls Need Love {here, here, here and preview here} and then narrowed it down to this nautical print.
The final result came out great and I'm really happy with how my mini, and easy, update turned out. I managed to source most of the accessories from other places in our home and I plan on rotating out some of the pieces for quick change-ups here and there. I also have some leftover wallpaper, which means that I am trying to think up my next project and easy transformation.
And, if you want some expert styling tips from industry pro's then Emily Henderson has a great three step guide, One Kings Lane has a mini guide and it also happens to be one of my go-to resources shelf worthy accessories. Lastly, if you want ideas as to how to make your bookshelf serve double duty, then this post on The Everygirl shows you how.
