Designing My Day
I'm officially two weeks back at work {two short weeks} and Monday marks my first full five day work week. I realized very quickly in these early days that the transition back this time around was going to be an adjustment and that staying organized would be a challenged. I'm a big fan of brain dumps and a good ole fashion planner and knew I needed to find one to help me stay on track. I've used all kinds of planners, but as my return to work approached, I looked for a planner that could help me not only manage my calendar, but also my to-do-list, meal planning, etc. The Day Designer was the perfect fit.
The Day Designer is truly helping me design my day with intention and focus, which is important to me given how little time I have these days. I know this may sound cheesy, but the planner is also helping me with goal setting. Managing the daily Monday through Friday can be all consuming and recently I've started to lose sight of the big picture - personal, professional and family goals. One of my priorities is to make more time for the things that are importnat to me and the Day Designer is helping me to assess how I'm managing and prioritizing my time.
If you arent certain if this planner is for you, try it for free using the the daily planner worksheet to determine if this is a system that will work for you. The Day Designer also has great worksheets that you can also download. A few of my favorites: 86 lists for the planning obsessed, the "Honey Do List" and the Designing Your Week.
I would love any tips and tricks you have for planning your day with intention. Please share!
