Do you know what's in your beauty products?
In the past I’ve shared a little about my goal of transitioning more of my daily beauty products and make-up to safer or natural products. One of the first products I swapped out was my deodorant and it’s been almost four years since I made that switch. This all started when I was trying to get pregnant and started to really think about the products I was using on my body. While it took getting pregnant and nursing to really get me to make the switch, I’m so happy I did. It’s made me a better and smarter consume and this one switch prompted me to asses my make-up bag, which is slowly getting an overhaul as well.
So back to deodorant, I’ve tried a few brands, some have worked and some haven't, but more and more I’m drawn to local and smaller brands that have more of a mission and story to tell. This leads me to Wildist and my love of this Brooklyn based company - you should read there about page!
I still need to educate myself on ingredients and Wildest makes it so easy. This is priority for them as a company and I love how they provide a detailed ingredients index on their website. They believe in sharing the ingredients but also the why behind what they include in their products, which I love.
In addition to deodorant, they have a line of toothpaste, which I’m excited to try. They have a variety of options and even a nighttime toothpaste called Dreamomile, which promotes teeth whitening.
Overall, I think the price point for the quality, and comfort of knowing what you are putting on your body, makes it worth it and the pretty packaging is so beautiful. They invest the extra time and money to make only 100% recyclable BPA free aluminum tube. It means they make sure every single piece of shipping material they use is reusable - sustainability is in their DNA and not just part of their marketing strategy.
If you are interested in trying out a new product line and incorporating more natural products into your routine, I highly recommend starting out with this bundle. And, if you try it out, let me know. I love sharing new products and brands, but I love it even more when people reach out with feedback or even better a note letting me know you tried something and love it as much as I do!
